Oracle Database Releases & It’s Supported Timeline

Oracle Lifetime Support Policy-:

The Lifetime Support Policy provides access to technical experts for as long as you license your Oracle products.

It consists of three support stages:

  1. Premier Support
  2. Extended Support
  3. Sustaining Support

Premier Support -:

Premier Support provides you with maintenance and support for your Oracle Database products for five years from their general availability date.

Extended Support -:

Extended Support it provides you with an extra three years of support for specific Oracle releases for an additional fee.

Sustaining Support -:

if you choose not to purchase Extended Support, or when Extended Support expires, Sustaining
Support will be available for as long as you license your Oracle products.

With Sustaining Support, you receive technical support, including access to oracle online support tools, knowledge bases, and technical support experts.

  • 11.2-: GA is Sep 2009 ,PS end in Jan 2015 & ES end in Dec 2020.
  • 12.2-: GA is Mar 2017,PS end in Mar 2023 & ES end in Mar 2026.

12.2.0.1 there is no extended support

and 18c as well

only 19c has extended support

    this is oracle business policy.
    19c is very good database in 12c family like 11.2.0.4.

how about releases 18c and 19c ?
is 12.2.0.2 and 12.2.0.3 replaced by 18c and 19c ?

and also can u clarify on patching last patch that will be availbable for these releases..
